Hello! I am Amy Healy, the creator of Healy Originals. I focus on using real leaves and fronds from Pacific Northwest botanicals to make prints on fabric and leather. On organic cotton canvas, I use sun reactive dyes to make vibrant prints and on vegetable tanned leather I use pressure to make prints onto leather. I am also very much in love with the look and feel of waxed canvas, which I create by hand-waxing my prints using organic beeswax. And I love the industrial yet natural look of rust dyed fabric with uses rusting metal to create unique patterns.

 

I work out of a small studio in my home in Olympia, WA. I am a proud member of the artist community at The Olympia Farmers Market, where you can find me most weekends throughout the year. I love to create and I am often striving to balance making a living as a maker and wanting to create unique, one of a kind items for people to enjoy and express themselves with.  I am excited to see where this journey takes me!
